Oscar has been appointed as Chief Operations Officer in February 2019 and in this role, he is responsible for operations, finance, quality, HR and back office.
Oscar joined Progress-PME in 2014. For Progress-PME, he has worked as interim manager for different companies. He has also worked on SAP / MES implementation projects for MSD plants in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Singapore, Indonesia and South-Africa. Oscar has led the OPEX journey for Progress-PME since 2017.
Oscar has 20+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in environmental chemistry. Oscar started his pharma career in validation and qualification at Mallinckrodt (now Curium Pharma) in Petten. He led the sterile production area for more than six years, where aseptic intravenous diagnostics and sterile intermediates were produced. In 2007 he joined MSD in Haarlem where he was Manager Operations in blister packaging for three years and Improvement Engineer in vaccines packaging for four years. From 2010 to 2012, he was responsible for implementing SAP across all manufacturing and packaging processes. Paperless manufacturing and continuous improvement were part of the project scope.
Oscar is lean six sigma black belt and certified professional in inventory management (CPIM) by APICS.
Oscar (1973) enjoys playing tennis and soccer, walking and skiing. He is an active member of the local tennis club and gives handball practice to his daughters’ team. He enjoys spending time with his family (married, two daughters). The ideal holiday contains mountains.
