In the past months yet again three new consultants started at Progress-PME to strengthen our growing team: Albert Mekking, René Huijnen and Marieke van den Bosch.

Albert has a long history in pharmaceutical development, starting his career as a Protein Scientist he established an analytical biochemistry laboratory. He was Manager QC Support, Project Leader of formulation studies and Manager Clinical Production. From 2007 onwards Albert worked as a Consultant on the pharmaceutical development of various monoclonal proteins, vaccines, gene therapy products and small molecules. He excels in the projectmanagement of early and late development of biopharmaceutical products including formulations, the QC support and the quality modules for IMPD/IND/BLA.

René has earned his stripes as a Project Manager, Manager Qualification & Validation and Senior Validation Engineer within Project teams and QA. After finishing the study Maritime Officer succeeded by a post bachelor study with focus on quality management René started in the pharmaceutical industry. René is a team player who is always looking for improvement with the goal to create a fluent and safe production process. He has the capability to oversee issues from different perspectives leading to problem solving with new inventive strategies or combining a new mix of known solutions.

After her PhD, Marieke started at a clinical pharmacology research unit where she was responsible for the valorisation of its self-sponsored biomarker research. In the past years, Marieke reinitiated the Analytical Development department of a QC laboratory where stability studies and analytical methods for (bio)pharmaceutical end products were developed, validated and transferred. She implemented project management, worked on Lean projects and stated her Green Belt. She specialises in Interim Line Management, Change Management, Data analysis, QC and analytical development, Valorisation and Lean Six Sigma (Greenbelt) tools.

We warmly welcome them in our midst and wish them lots of fun and success.
